Before graduating High School, he’d already made 41 shorts, and by the end of College worked as Senior Crew on 31 Shorts – including 4 Senior Capstone Projects. For the past decade, he’s been Self-Employed in the Film & TV Industry, and shot for Shows by Showtime, Netflix, HGTV, NBC, History Channel, and more.

With training in 16 & 35mm Film Production, and a lover of classical film and Independent Cinema alike, Christian loves to highlight the magic within the mundane. His styles lie in kinetic, visual storytelling, favoring compelling imagery over dialogue. To date, he’s collaborated on well over 100 projects. His myriad non-professional hobbies include hiking, bouldering, bicycling, snowboarding, and just a bit of creative design.

Agency-Approved

No stranger to corporate structure, Christian understands the nuances of collaboration with agencies and clients large and small, having accumulated years of first-hand experience in both working in Marketing, and TV Production Studios.

Marketing clients included government contracts like the Department of Transportation, non-profits, and national brands like the YMCA, while Production clients included Tavel Channel, Food Network, and Discovery.

SHOT ON CELLULOID

Christian got started in the industry when stories were still told on celluloid film and tungsten lights. A bridge between generations, he carries the principles and wisdom of the analog era into the digital domain, and is one of the few professionals uniquely qualified to work with celluloid.

He still works with film on Feature films and commercials to this day, with two projects shot on 35mm as recently as 2025.

TIME-TESTED

Christian’s been making videos since 2007. Starting with only a webcam, Windows Movie Maker, and a few wild ideas. By Senior Year of High School,  he was Executive Producer of Moorhead High School’s ‘Spud News,' and found various freelance jobs creating content for the staff.

In 2010, he won a scholarship contest from Moorhead Public Service with ‘Conserving Energy is Easier Than You Think,’ and used the award to fund a successful College Career, graduating in 2014 with awards in Cinematography and Sound Design, and not one, but Four Senior Thesis Projects.
